Yoga Bags
I created these unique yoga bags from various scrap materials, carefully sewing them together using a machine. Each bag not only serves the practical purpose of carrying my yoga mat to classes, but they also showcase a creative approach to upcycling. The vibrant colors and distinct patterns of the bags have drawn the attention of my fellow yogis, who have complimented me on my handmade creations. This project not only allows me to express my individuality but also highlights the importance of sustainability in our daily lives. Each time I walk into class with my bag in tow, I feel a sense of pride knowing that I’ve transformed discarded materials into something functional and beautiful.
Sewing
Sewing has been my first love—from stitching in school home economics class to mending my own clothes. In my twenties, I began exploring patchwork and started making my own bags and hats. These are a few of my handmade creations, each one a blend of creativity, care, and years of practice.
Ceramics
I joined a ceramic class at my local community centre and instantly fell in love with working with clay. These bowls are a few of my handmade creations—each one shaped by hand, with its own little quirks and charm.
Decoupage
As soon as I discovered decoupage, I was hooked. I’ve loved experimenting with it on all sorts of surfaces—from lamps to furniture—bringing new life and character to everyday pieces. Each one is a unique expression of creativity and play.
