About me

It started with the birth of my 1st child and T.E.N.T (The Evolution of Natural Talent). Some may disagree , but I believe we have all been gifted and that it's our duty to discover what our gifts are and use it/them to benefit ourselves and eventually, others. For the benefit of humanity. For generations, the majority of us have been doing quite the opposite; being programmed this way; it was not our fault, however it is time to change that! For over 25 years, I’ve been on an arduous, determined journey towards creativity, healing, and transformation. I was programmed also to believe that I was worthless and this was how I was mostly treated by family, friends and foe.

TENT changed my life. It shifted those lies I was told about myself. It gave me vision and then sent me out on a mission to discover my truth. The inTENTion of this blog is to share my truth and to position myself to be of service to you. You too will see that I am not so worthless after all. Lol…

My journey during past years led me on an expedition…with no money, no confidence, no experience, no support. Read all about It here! From delivering creative recycling workshops to earning awards for environmental innovation and more recently, writing two memoirs. My life has been a patchwork of experiences that have shaped who I am today. In this blog I will endeavour to finally stitch all the pieces together. After spending decades voluntarily helping communities, empowering women and children along the way while maintaining/fostering environmental responsibility, which still continues today. I’m turning the page now to a new chapter…sharing my story with you.

It's a new beginning…or maybe more accurately, a return. A steady flow to the homecoming of myself, my creativity, and my voice.

For years, I’ve carried stories, poems, and ideas quietly. Tucked into notebooks and digital documentation…held very close, shielded even. I became overwhelmed with a life full of challenges, sometimes tender, most times very tough…and there have been many reasons and seasons passed where I needed to be hidden in plain sight rather than exposed.

Another shift has arrived.
They come not loudly, not all at once…in stages…

This space is for showcasing; a place to stitch together my journey, for creativity that doesn’t need to be perfect and connection. To share those project ideas, poems, reflections, and soft offerings…especially for Black women and girls who, like me, are searching for breath, beauty, and belonging.

I hope this shift can feel like warmth on a cool day; a reminder that our voice, our thoughts, and our art matter…It all Matters!
